Merrion Square Winter Lights

Merrion Square was laid out in 1765 by the 7th Viscount Fitzwilliam, one of Dublin's most prominent landowners at the time. The square was designed in the Georgian style, with symmetrical rows of redbrick townhouses facing onto the park. The square's architecture is considered to be some of the finest in Dublin, and many of the townhouses have been preserved and restored to their former glory.
